Bringing new and exciting work to Lincoln is an essential feature of how HHG promotes the visual arts, and since we opened in 1994, we have staged numerous exhibitions in the Upper Gallery.
Some of these can be viewed in the Gallery News section.

If you would like to be considered for an Exhibition, please submit proposals as indicated for new members.

The Upper Gallery is available to hire for £20 per week plus 40% commission on sales, subject to acceptance.

Saturday 11th September is the opening day of our new exhibition " The Magic of the Loom".

Rug by Jacqueline James

This vibrant display in the lovely upper gallery is a celebration of both design and skill, introducing a variety of weaving that ranges from delicate braid to colourful rug.

Textile Artist Jennie Parry opened the Exhibition with a demonstration of the Japanese art of takadai, the creation of intricate and decorative braiding on a fearsome looking piece of equipment.

At the other end of the scale there are large wall hung rugs from Sheffield artist Sarah Williams, and Dot Seddon from Guisborough.

The Exhibition runs until October 9th.

Our Next Exhibition is the Book Launch of Townscapes of Lincoln, by Archaeologist Dr. Michael Jones and HHG Artist Peter Rooke.
